Rhythm

Rhythm is that feeling you get when you hear your song and you just want to get up and dance! Its the beat to which you stomp your foot too or the rest in between the head banging in the car.

What do you like about the way she presented the information? Why?
I liked that she seemed to have fun presenting it and kept your attention going. She was also easy to understand. I am the type of person that if I get bored it is hard for me to learn that topic.
What do you dislike about the way she presented information? Why?
I dislike that she made it out like she was talking to us like a small child, if that’s the age group she is teaching that is fine and she did a great job, but for college level its kind of insulting to someone’s intelligence.
Is this an example of good teaching? Why do you think so?
I think that it is a great example of good teaching as long as you are gearing toward elementary aged children. She was clear to the point, asked questions got you involved and make it fun. She also had a great attitude toward the subject.
How many different ways did she present the information? Why do you think this is important?
She presented the information Affectivley, psychomoror, cognitively and actively. This is because all students learn differently and when you have more than one student you have to teach the information different ways.

All About Me!

Hi everyone!
My name is Tabatha Holstein but everyone calls me Nikki. I am originally from Greensboro North Carolina but moved to West Virginia mid way through school. I graduated from South Charleston High School and currently reside in Saint Albans Wv.  I am in my third year of college and just transferred from Marshall University so this is my first semester at West Virginia State. I am earning my degree in Elementary Educations and want to get a masters in Administration.

I hope to learn how to integrate music into my course work to make learning fun and upbeat for my students. I believe no matter what subject music can play a huge part in learning. I really do not have much music skills other than a few things from when I was in school, I was in band as well as all county choir. I do love to sing very loudly in my car if that counts for anything lol but never where anyone can truly hear me. My concerns for this course is that is is my first online class with a new college so I am feeling a little lost, hopefully I will get the hang of it soon! Other than the info required I also have two step children  that I love very much as well as an amazing fiancĂ©.

We just bought a house here in Saint albans a year ago and settles in with our munchkins, three cats, two dogs, two birds and a turtle. Needless to say we have a house full! I also have a very unusual job for the moment but I love it because I get to help people and I am very passionate about that. I am a family service consoler at a local cemetery so I help people pre arrange their estates, as well as at the time of death. Any little thing I can do to make someones day/time easier thats what I want to do, I love to make a difference!
